THE WISDOM OF SOUL WINNING.

THE WISDOM OF SOUL WINNING.

“He who wins a soul is wise” Proverbs 11:30

When Christ came, it was solely for soul winning. He did not come to make us amazing, wealthy, famous or good people, in my opinion those are just a plus. In Mathew 6:33 Jesus tells us to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto us. I for one have sought His Hand a couple of times before I sought His face.

Wisdom comes in many ways;

  1. We ask for wisdom and it is given unto us

  2. We pursue wisdom, study to show yourself approved

  3. When we win souls we acquire wisdom

Wisdom is putting knowledge to work. We can have all the knowledge in the world but if there is no action accompanying the knowledge then we are not wise. Wisdom will apply in movement. In Joshua 8:1-7 the Lord told Joshua to arise and go up to Ai for He had given the Israelites the people of Ai, it’s King and the city. The Lord did not tell Joshua how to do this, He, however, assured him that they would be victorious. Joshua arose and took all the fighting men and went to Ai. The people of Israel were known for fleeing and they were known for that and Joshua having this knowledge used it to their advantage.

And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready: And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them, (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them. Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the Lord your God will deliver it into your hand.”

Joshua 8:4-7 KJV

As Christians, we have been taught and we are constantly learning but have we put the knowledge to work? Have we used the knowledge we have to our advantage? And No, using it to our advantage does not mean focusing on our own issues. We are in the Kingdom of God’s business first before our own. That means we are soul winners before anything else. The first disciples of Jesus were turned from fishermen to fishers of men. I choose to believe that the knowledge they had in fishing they used wisdom to bring people to salvation.

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 KJV

And the Lord commended the unjust steward because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

Luke 16:8 KJV”

 It is time for us to be wise. It is time for us to arise, go up and use the knowledge we have gained to work for the Kingdom of God. In this day and age we have, we ought to know that being announced alone and having faith alone does not work. We have to make the anointing work for us, we have to put some action into the faith.

I once read something on the streets of the internet; if all your prayers were answered would they be of personal gain or would it change the world? It begs another question if we all used the knowledge we have in soul-winning to our advantage won’t we all not receive crowns?

‘The Apex of all Christian endeavour must become to place the jewel of a soul in the crown of our saviour that the Lamb of God slain receive the reward of His suffering’
